Boulder Food Rescue
Worked with Dr. Caleb Phillips to design and implement a website for managing the volunteers and operations of the nonprofit Boulder Food Rescue.
The Boulder Food Rescue organization is dedicated to providing decreasing food waste in Boulder County by providing just in time pickups and deliveries of fresh food. The organization pickups food that would otherwise go to waste at grocery stores, restaurants, and other local businesses/organizations and distributes the perishable food to charities that serve the homeless and at-risk individuals.

Teams of students are challenged to propose solutions to one of two open-ended problems and write a paper describing their solution.
My team designed a model for optimizing the flow of river rafts down a theoretical river of similar characteristics to the Colorado River running though the Grand Canyon.
